So so good to get some gym time. I saw your post about ‘balance’ and thought how that is what I strive for everyday now too and how much more challenging it is than it used to be. But then I thought the truth is, it’s less challenging now because it’s absolutely required. I have so many things in my life that require daily attention and that I love, I don’t have the option to pigeon hole myself or devote an excessive amount of time to anything. It’s a new skill to learn how to ‘let go’ of the feeling of not giving ‘enough’ and be grateful for having so much to give to. It also helps that I love all the things I’m ‘giving to’. Anyhow, those are my deep thoughts. I will probably never again spend quite as much time in the gym as I once did but I will never stop finding ways to keep it in my life. It’s so much a part of why everything else works.
Loved this workout. Legs felt so strong on the DLs. I was focusing on the hams and glutes to do the work and I think that helped. Loved moving the barbell again!! Woohoo. Felt great. The walking lunges were tough! I took one step at a time. The goblet squats seemed easier for me with the heel elevated. Thanks!
